St. Luke's Health Plan working to address pharmacy billing issues following Change Healthcare cybersecurity event

In late February, national health care technology company, Change Healthcare, reported a sophisticated cybersecurity incident.

Hospitals, providers and insurance companies nationwide leverage Change Healthcare’s technology to support a variety of administrative functions, including processing pharmacy benefit claims.

Following the initial reports of the cybersecurity incident, the Change Healthcare network was shut down, preventing St. Luke’s Health Plan from being able to confirm correct charges and billing for a few select patients and members. As a result, some pharmacy bills between late February and early March may have been delayed while we work through this issue.

Regardless of administrative challenges, Health Plan members may still access pharmacy prescriptions. We are committed to minimizing any impact to patients, members and providers.
