The power of integrated virtual care.

Virtual care has become a staple of modern healthcare—but not all virtual care is created equal. Many insurance carriers rely on third-party vendors to deliver these services. At St. Luke’s Health Plan, our virtual care is fully integrated.

Virtual care has become a staple of modern healthcare—but not all virtual care is created equal.

Many insurance carriers rely on third-party vendors to deliver these services. While convenient, these options are often siloed, lacking any real connection to a member’s broader care journey.

At St. Luke’s Health Plan, we do it differently. Our virtual care program is fully integrated and staffed by St. Luke’s physicians—clinicians who work within the same system, access the same records, and are part of the same mission. And that makes all the difference.

A member’s experience.

A member recently called into our virtual care clinic feeling sick. She expected to get treatment for her symptoms—and she did. But because our providers are part of an integrated system, they didn’t stop there.

During the visit, the physician noticed the member didn’t have a primary care provider on record and was significantly overdue for a mammogram. Rather than making a note for someone else to follow up, the virtual care team acted in real time:

  • Her immediate health issue was addressed.
  • She was scheduled with a primary care provider within the same week.
  • And a long-overdue mammogram was booked before the visit ended.
That’s the St. Luke’s difference.

This kind of whole-person care doesn’t happen in fragmented systems. It happens when virtual care isn’t outsourced but built into a fully integrated health system—where technology, clinical care, and health plan operations all work as one.

It’s not just about convenience. It’s about connection, coordination, and delivering better care today and setting the stage for better health tomorrow.
